Inclusivity + Creating Change
is what we're all about

We know what it's like to balance clinical demands and personal needs. We're here to help you figure out who you are as a clinician, who you want to be, and most importantly, how to be that person. But as a leader, figuring this out is only the first step; building a community culture and guiding your team to do the same is where the change really happens. We welcome you to join this conference where you can be your whole-self, truly belong, and foster a community within your team to do the same.

What members are saying about the defy + DoBetter Spring 2021 Conference

(Available for purchase on-demand here.)

Thank you so much for all the resources provided. Easily one of the most entertaining, REAL conferences I've attended to date. Gave me all the 'feels' (aka private events)!

Content was so applicable and so relatable to me. We need more of these conferences!

Absolutely PHENOMENAL group of women, who selected important and engaging content to cover. SO impressed by the whole conference!

I liked the content for all the presentations. The presenters were clearly experts in the content areas.

I hope this continues on annually! Great conference!

This was a great event, I truly enjoyed myself. The presentations were right on time and beyond informative.

Such a wonderful variety of presentations. So happy that I was able to attend live.

Loved this conference! One of the best I’ve been to yet!

I really enjoyed this conference! Can't wait till the next one!

This conference was a game changer!!! The panelists were all an inspiration. I loved Sarah the first time I laid eyes on her at CalABA 2017 when she was on stage, during the 2020 CalABA the virtual. It is so refreshing to know that you can be a scientist and be cool. Keep being Smart and forever beautiful Sarah. I love the Do Better collective. This is really a place that I can call "home". Much Love, Learning and Laughters!

Loved all of it! Thank you for being real and presenting on different topics.

This was a wonderful, relevant, engaging, well-thought-out conference that I thoroughly enjoyed participating in! I look forward to the next event!

COME ALONE AND LEAVE WITH FRIENDS

Imagine sitting down with other clinicians who are there for YOU and your success. What if we stopped focusing on facades and started focusing on loving what's inside and using it to create positive, lasting change? There is so much power in working together especially when we are all working towards a greater cause.

Come alone, create unstoppable friendships and watch the magic you create. Our purpose is to help you create the vision you want for your life and clinical work, to surround you with other clinicians who want to help you get there, and help you develop the skill set to foster a community and team of your own within your work.

The opposite of belonging is fitting in.
And baby, you weren't born to fit in; you were born to defy,
you were born to belong.
